As 2024 is just beginning I thought this would be an opportune time to reflect on what a fantastic year 2023 has been for Hi West and HOST and to recognise how we have continued to excel and grow as a business over the past 12 months.
Our performance has proved once again what a great team we have, driving our business forward at every opportunity, achieving some fantastic record-breaking results and giving the business a solid foundation to build upon going forwards into 2024 and beyond.
Brean Sands’ first full year has been a great success with occupancy overachieved throughout the year. The option of self-catering apartments with extensive facilities and outdoor areas has been a huge attraction for our guests and has added an alternative to campus-style accommodation.
The past years of operation have seen the business flourish from initial building sites in 2018, to the fully operational, successful accommodation provisions they are today, welcoming up to circa 2450 highly satisfied guests a night, and for that I am extremely proud. We have continued to break records in 2023 even though we are an established business in the later stages of the contract term.
This year we added to the Hi West Pineapple Town Houses portfolio and welcomed new members to the team in all the Town Houses. The delivery of the Town House offer continues to grow, gathering strength and its rightful place in the market against considerable economic headwinds. A testament to the efforts of all the team, I know further opportunity will present itself in 2024.
In rounding up, 2024 will no doubt have its challenges, however I'm sure with this team leading the business, challenges will be met and overcome. I'm very much looking forward to what further successes Hi West, HOST and Pineapple Town Houses can achieve this year.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued hard work and dedication to the business.
Best wishes for 2024.
